Olde English Bulldogge Puppy Contract

We offer a 1 year health guarantee to all Salazar Bulldogge’s pups.  Health guarantee is non-transferable.

Deposits and Payment:

Puppies may be reserved by a $300/cash non-refundable deposit.  We will not accept deposits on pups that are ready to go.  If you change your mind, don’t want or can’t take puppy, you forfeit your deposit.  Pups will be paid CASH in full before leaving our home. Puppy must be picked-up within 3 days of date stated on contract.  If puppy isn’t picked-up in that time, a $30 a week boarding cost plus any other expenses (i.e. shots, deworming) will be added to balance due.  If 2 or more weeks go by with no attempts to make pick-up arrangements, the buyer forfeits puppy and all deposits and payments made on puppy.

SALAZAR BULLDOGG’S GUARANTEE IS AS FOLLOWS:

If puppy isn’t examined by a vet within 48 hours of leave our home, all guarantees are VOID.

NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED.  WE WILL NOT PAY ANY VET BILLS.  BUYER PAYS ALL SHIPPING.

All puppies leaving our farm have been vet checked, current on vaccinations, dewormed on schedule, and has been docked and dew claws removed by a vet. Within 48 hours of puppy leaving with you, puppy needs to be seen by a Veterinarian for a physical examination.   If the Veterinarian finds puppy to have serious physical condition (other than:  a viral/bacterial cold, a bacterial infection such as coccida or giardia,  common parasites or kennel cough, which can easily be treated) breeder will replace puppy after first puppy is returned to breeder and breeder brings puppy to vet for a second option.  If our vet agrees with the findings, puppy will be replaced with a comparable quality puppy from same litter if available or upcoming litter.  No money will be refunded.  We are not responsible for your vet bills.

This guarantee covers that puppy will be free of any genetic/hereditary defects that cause death or serious impairment of the vital functions in the puppy until one year old.  If such an inheritable defect is documented by a veterinarian and presented to the breeder with sufficient supporting evidence, the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy with a comparable quality puppy from same litter if available or an upcoming litter.  Breeder reserves the right to a second Veterinarian opinion before replacement puppy is given.  No money will be refunded.

This guarantee does NOT cover what in the bulldog breed some consider normal or beyond control.  I.E. Cheery eyes, entropian, loose hips, stenotic nares (loud sounding or snuffling sound when breathing).  We cannot guarantee that the dog will not contract mange (Red mange, Demodex mange or any type of mite mange) Mange is a multifactorial genetic disease that can be transmitted in a recessive manner.  There is much dispute between experts as to the differing specific causes of mange including envirment, stress, and nutrition, therefore we cannot guarantee against it.   Skin allergies or an umbilical hernia are not covered.  We do not breed dogs with undesirable conditions such as mange or bad hips but we cannot guarantee that previous generations did not have these conditions or that such conditions will not show up in future litters. No replacement or money will be given in the case of Parvo after 3 days of puppy going home.

Buyer understands that the contract will be void if buyer fails to provide routine veterinary care.  This guarantee does not cover any common dog ailments such as worms, vitamin deficiencies, and viral or bacterial diseases or disorders brought on by parasites or lack of routine care.

Salazar Bulldogge’s puppies are sold as pet quality only and if bred, guarantee is void.

General Information- Every line of dogs has some issues common to their breed. The Olde English Bulldogge is a recreation of the Bulldogges of Olde and one of the reasons it was created was for the purposes of eliminating many of the established health problems that the English Bulldog has, which it has done. However, the dog is still a Bulldog and some problems may arise that are directly related to what we find most desirable about the breed. The flat face, rolling gait, short tail and big chest for instance. Do all the research that you can, understand and accept that when you purchase a dog you may have to deal with some issues.

STRESS- one must understand that it is stressful for any puppy to leave its home and littermates or playmates. Like you, a pup under stress, is more susceptible to illness. His immune system is compromised while under stress. There are millions of bacteria, fungi and depending on environment, viruses all over. If your pup comes into contact with these while he is stressed, he will be less able to fight it off. Be very considerate of this factor, keep the pup quiet and wait until he knows you and is over his stressful time to expose him to new and exciting (and usually germ and virus’ friendly) atmospheres (such as going to Petco to choose a new bone, or inviting all your family and friends over to see him. Give him time and keep him away from stress as much as possible the first 10 days or so. Hold him in your lap at the Vet. Like Hospitals, where sick people are all over, vet offices see sick dogs nearly every day. It may take him a few days of rest to be himself again. This is normal. We strongly suggest that you do not expose your new puppy to new things until you have had him for 2 weeks. Keep him in your yard, hold him if you cannot.  He is a baby just like a human baby. You know how they catch every cold around? It is because they are new to the world and their immune system needs to be exposed to things to become strong, same thing with baby puppies.
